Image Gallery
In
this Image Gallery we present a selection of bird photographs taken in Armenia. These illustrate some infrequently observed Caucasian
birds as well as documenting the occurrence of some rarer species. We believe this is, the largest collection of
Armenian bird images on the internet. Although some are of relatively poor quality, we hope to add more and will regularly update this gallery in due course.
Images signed as Armenia Birding were taken by Vasil, while several
others were kindly provided for use on this website by Nerses Kazanjian, Chris Batty and Bosse Carlsson
(Eleonora's Falcon), and these are
correspondingly signed.
Pictures denoted with (*)
were taken by Chris Batty in Turkey and illustrate some Armenian
vagrants and rarities or plumages that are infrequently seen here.
Each picture has details of the month and Armenian province in which the photo was taken. Armenian provinces can be found on this map.
Birders and ornithologists interested in details of a particular
picture, or in original resolution images, may contact us at aves(AT)armeniabirding.info.
If you have any remarks concerning depicted plumages, misidentification etc., we would be happy to receive your comments! |
